Eleven Pipers Piping (Take 2)
February 7, 4pm, College Street Congregational Church, Burlington
An ‘Events for Tom’ benefit concert featuring eleven Vermont/Québec-based pipers playing a variety of pipes and music. Performers will be Scottish-style pipers Elias Alexander, Dan Houghton, Peter Kent, Jackie Lewis, Ben Miller, Matt Buckley, Tim Cummings, and Iain MacHarg (doubling on French/Flemish pipes); also Rik Palieri (Polish pipes), Anthony Santoro (uilleann pipes), and Richard Shuttleworth (Northumbrian pipes). Suggested $15 donation. CDs, books, etc. will be available following the program.
Sponsored by Tom Sustic Fund, The Pipers’ Gathering, The Northeast Heritage Music Camp, The New World Festival, Nate Banton/Elbow Music, Beithe Publishing, Scotland by the Yard, Leunig’s Bistro & Old World Café, and the Vermont Bellowspipe School.
