A Cajun Fais Do Do with the Savoy Family Band

The raw energy of the dance halls of southwest Louisiana.
Susanna’s Catering provides a BBQ dinner and Cajun snacks.
The Savoy Family Band plays dance hall tunes mixed with soulful ballads and fiddle and vocal duets to show the spectrum of Cajun life, love, loss and the joy of dance. They have toured all over the world playing at prestigious venues and festivals including the Newport Folk Festival, Smithsonian Institute, and the Berlin Jazz Festival. They have received national recognition through the Heritage Fellowship Award, the highest honor in the country for traditional artists, and have appeared on the PBS series ‘American Roots’. Admission is $17 per person or $40 for a family. Kids are $5.
Presented by River Arts and Young Tradition Vermont. Support provided by CCS Constructors and the Trapp Family Lodge. Benefits the Tom Sustic Fund.
